What is HUBZone?

  • HUBZone is a federal program which encourages business development in historically underutilized business zones -"HUBZones"
  • The HUBZone Contracting program was enacted into law as part of the Small Business Reauthorization Act of 1997
  • HUBZone businesses must meet the SBA definition of a Small Business, have at least 51% ownership by a US Citizen, and 35% of its workforce must reside within the HUBZone
